The Order of the Friends of Jeshua (Jesus) is a contemporary, inner-faith spiritual community whose apostolic ministry is to embody and live the teachings of Christ in the world. We are about re-awakening and living from our Inner Divinity.
OFJ was born out of a desire to expand our awareness of the Presence of God within and to live from that inner place. OFJ was chartered in Austin, Texas, and our lineage follows the Apostolic Line of Succession of Christ under the jurisdiction of the Free Apostolic Communion of Christ Consciousness. We were established through the lineage of Bishop Lee Allen Petersen of Weatherford, Texas, who is one of our mentors. (*see below)
We have monthly telephone conference calls that offer dialog, support, and an opportunity to share our individual spiritual experiences, understandings, and ministries.
In addition, OFJ offers opportunities for spiritual development, as well as ministry studies than can culminate in ordination in Christic Apostolic Philosophy. We also offer yearly spiritual retreats.
We come together as spiritual seekers, friends, ministers, priests, and bishops for the purpose of deepening our understanding of Christ’s message and to create community. Some would call us contemporary mystics.
The OFJ community’s purpose is NOT to create structures or to establish creeds, dogmas or doctrines. Its mission is to allow “The Way” (Ortha - as taught by Christ) to be present in the world through apostolic living and ministry.
...for where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20
